Happy Easter!

Look who it was! The cat!

We had originally built in this week off for our in-person meeting schedule. However, I wanted to send you all a few extra exercises for you and your dogs to have some fun with! Next week, we'll be back to our regularly scheduled online training. Until then, get creative with these exercises and continue working on the things you learned in previous weeks!

This is a fun party trick to show off with your dog!

To get our dogs to bow, we start with them in a standing position  (four-on-the-floor) and take our treat lure from their nose down towards the ground at an angle towards their elbows.

Once they fold their elbows down (only their elbows, not their butt), click or say "yes" and give them the treat lure as a reward.

Muffin Tin Game

This is a great activity for a rainy day or when you can't get outside with your dog. This gives them a good mental workout!

Gather one muffin tin, 2+ tennis balls, & treats. Kibble works too!! This is a fantastic way to feed your dog's meals. This is a great game for the whole family as well!

Place one or more tennis balls with kibble under it for your dog to find. The more balls and fewer places that hold kibble the harder!

Dog Hopscotch

Let's get outside, get creative, and have some fun with our dogs!

Grab some sidewalk chalk and write out a course on your driveway or sidewalk.

Two sample course maps included below.

Heel with your dog through your chalk course and perform each task as you get to it.
